New & Limited Releases
Australian Petit Verdot / Cabernet Sauvignon
A strong condender as the alternative to Shiraz in the warmer wine
regions of Australia, Petit Verdot ripens a week or two later than
Shiraz. It consists of a vibrant brick-red colour, a fragrant nose of
spice and violets, and soft ripe tannins culminated with a clean
finish.
Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Fermentation on Red Mountain Cabernet Crushed Grapes and a two-stage
Hungarian oak process delivers body, aromatics and flavours that
combine a hint of organge with a big, chewy mouth-feel.
Tempranillo Cabernet
Tempranillo has long been the most noteworthy Red wine grape in Spain;
it is generally regarded as being Spain's only "Noble" Grape. Today, in
the nature of "Super Tuscan" wines, Tempranillo blended with Cabernet
Sauvignon creates a powerful wine with a deeper colour and more defined
structure. Plum, cherry, currant, spice and black pepper flavours are
blended with floral leather and red fruit aromatics result in a smoth,
modern style of wine.
South African Shiraz
Stellenbosch Shiraz may best be described as having Rhone-style
backbone, but with heady New-World, up-front fruit. The wine has
heightened layers of blackberry, boysenberry, fig and plum, followed by
notes of cocoa, chocolate and coffee.
Two Latitudes Merlot
Napa Merlot is noted for its black cherry flavours with cherry blossom
and rose petal aromas, while Walla Walla Merlot shows cherry notes, but
is more Bordeauz-like with earthy spice, soya-like savor and hints of
mint and cedar. Together, these two juices are married in our Two
Latitudes Merlot.
